Description
Syringa (lilac)is genus of about 20 - 25 species of flowering woody plants in the olive family. They deciduous shrubs or small tree. The flowers are produced in Spring with good fragrant and showy color, make lilac popular in park and garden. Lilac flower on old wood, and produce more flowers if un-pruned or light prune soon after flower season. The tern French Lilac is often used to refer double flowered cultivars. New hybrid Korean lilac are more compact, some my re-flower in later season
